How did NAFTA do that?

"Fifteen years later, we can see NAFTA only exacerbated economic problems for Mexico – creating even greater divides between the very rich and the very poor in that corrupt, socialist country."

Where have all the workers gone?
by

To listen to John McCain's pleas for more "guest workers," expansion of "free trade" programs that inequitably pit foreigners against Americans and amnesty for illegal aliens already in the U.S. and those still arriving daily, you would get the impression our country desperately needs help from the outside world just to meet its most basic needs. Continued...

Senator John McCain said...

"[Obama] "is a liberal, doctrinaire Democrat.”

Senator John McCain
________________________________

Senator John McCain said: “You know one of his [Obama's] favorite phrases is that I would be a Bush third term. Well I think maybe his proposals could be a Carter second term."

Comment by Boris Tiraspolsky:

I am positive that Senator McCain will not "be a Bush third term". With all due respect my question is will be Senator McCain a Statesman the Nation badly needs in the current unprecedented "crisis of human affairs"? (Read more...)

As far as it concerns Senator Obama, I honestly think that even all failures of former president Carter will look like little shortcomings compare to what the Nation may be facing, if Senator Obama becomes the President of the United States.

I am more and more getting inclined to join a view by Joseph Farah  Why McCain must lose. This seems to be the only way the Nation has a chance to elect the next President who could be a "Reagan third term".

Twenty five years ago the 4Oth President of the United States Ronald Reagan was speaking to liberals in the West, when he exhorted: "I urge you to beware the ... temptation of blithely declaring yourselves above it all and label both sides equally at fault, to ignore the facts of history and the aggressive impulses of an evil empire, to simply call the arms race a giant misunderstanding and thereby remove yourself from the struggle between right and wrong and good and evil...  It is an Evil Empire. It's time to close it down."

What great words by the great Statesman!

Just "an Evil Empire" is different nowadays. It is incomparably more dangerous then the former USSR. This new enemy intents to kill us all and replace the Constitution of the United States with the Islamic Law as the Supreme Law of the Land. (Read more...)

Ideological Struggle of the West

Sharia law is Islam's legal system.
It is derived from the Koran and the life of the prophet Mohammed.
Sharia rulings help Muslims understand how they should lead their lives
A formal legal ruling is called a fatwa.
In the West, Sharia courts deal mainly with family and business issues.
English and American law recognise religious courts as a means of arbitration

General (Ret.) Wesley Clark said...

"It's time for all of us to come together to take on John McCain in the general election. John McCain offers another four years of George Bush's policies, which our country simply cannot afford."

General (Ret.) Wesley Clark

General (Ret.) Wesley Clark said: "There has never been a more important election in my lifetime -- with a war waging, gas prices at record highs, our health care in crisis, and our nation's standing around the world severely diminished.  I spent the last year traveling across the country talking to great Americans in Iowa, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, South Dakota, Indiana and many other places.  They all agree on one thing:  This country needs new leadership, and it's time for change."

Comment by Boris Tiraspolsky:

You are absolutely right, general, this is one of the most important elections. You are correct, "a war waging, gas prices at record highs, our health care in crisis, and our nation's standing around the world severely diminished".

There is one problem, general! I do not think either Senator Barack Obama, or Senator McCain  clearly understand the magnitude of "change" the Nation needs. And for a support of my sentence I kindly ask you to read a parable about playing music with wrong instruments. Here it is.

"Both political parties in the United States act like two amateur music players who want to play the Ninth Symphony by Beethoven and sing The Ode to Joy. However, the only musical instruments they have and can play are percussion instruments and banjo.

One player says, I understand that the Ninth Symphony is written for an orchestra and choir, and requires many other instruments - string, brass, woodwind. But I play percussion instruments that are an integral part of the composer's music.

Another player says, I could not care less what "other" instruments needed to play this music. I play my banjo, as many Americans do, and I do not need percussion instruments either, because no one could hear how well I play my banjo, otherwise.

Finally, a professional Conductor comes and tells to both amateur players that they cannot play the Ninth Symphony and sing The Ode to Joy by using wrong instruments. In order to explain to them why it cannot be done, he asks for a "useful instrument" - grand piano to play the original composer's score.

Alas! The grand piano is not available anymore either. Some time ago BOTH PARTIES agreed to sell the grand piano and purchase the percussion instruments and banjo instead."

I agree with you, general, that "this country needs new leadership, and it's time, for change."

However, neither Republican McCain, nor Democrat Obama represent that "new leadership" and "change" the Nation currently needs. Neither of them up to historic challenges we all are facing at a time of "life or death" battle with Terror.

In other words, BOTH PARTIES failed the American people, turning into parties of elected bureaucrats, politically appointed bureaucrats, or life-long carrier bureaucrats naturally "playing music with wrong instruments". This is the biggest problem of all  "which our country simply cannot afford", using your words, general. (Read more...)

Beware the green-eyed monster!

"Those who seek the destruction of capitalism have typically favored policies leading to despotism, starvation and mass killing. The socialist revolutionary announces his benevolent intentions to everyone. He intends to build a better society, based on unselfish cooperation. He denounces the greed of the capitalists. His real agenda, let us be clear, is self-aggrandizement predicated on envy."

Triggering Global Revolution
by J. R. Nyquist

The theory of Communism,” wrote Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, “may be summed in one sentence: Abolish all private property.” When the Communists took over Russia in 1917 they attempted to practice Marx and Engel’s “theory.” By the spring of 1918 the Russian economy had reached a state of collapse and civil war broke out. Vladimir Lenin later admitted his mistake. He didn’t know how to build a Communist economy, so the Soviet regime retreated into “state capitalism.” The theory of Communism, plain and simple, signified economic collapse. Continued...

American Constitution - 'your evil law'...

"...the Constitution of the United States is the only historical document of the Western Civilization that can successfully challenge the Islamic Law, dealing with all aspects of everyday life,  including politics, economics, banking, business law, contract law, family, sexuality, hygiene, social issues, and claiming to be the only Supreme Law of the Land." - Boris Tiraspolsky

Remembering the D-Day - June 6, 1944

D-Day is a term often used in military parlance to denote the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. By far, the best known D-Day is June 6, 1944 — the day on which the Battle of Normandy began — commencing the Western Allied effort to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation during World War II.

The Assassination of Robert Kennedy

The Assassination of Robert Kennedy

It was 40 years ago today, in the midst of a tumultuous election year, that Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Robert Kennedy was shot in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel. In the days that followed, The [Wasington] Post editorial board tried to make sense of his shooting and his legacy. Continued...

Is al Qaeda being defeated?

"There are three ways to measure defeat or victory: Operational, Control and Recruitment. First, is al Qaeda waging the same number of operations? Second, does it control enclaves? Third, is it recruiting high numbers?"

How to measure al Qaeda's defeat
By Walid Phares

In an article published in the Washington Post on Friday May 30, CIA Director Michael V. Hayden is quoted as portraying al Qaeda movement as "essentially defeated in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and on the defensive throughout much of the rest of the world, including in its presumed haven along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border." Continued...

The new American creed

"The new American creed seems to be made up of socialism, forced equality, and oligarchy based on the “culture” of tolerance, relativism, multiculturalism, and disseverance from religion."

Assimilate Or Evacuate
Most debates concerning immigration typically involve issues of employment, toleration, or criminality, but what about preserving American culture?  In an age of multiculturalism and relativism, this important issue often finds itself on the back burner.  While America may be a “land of immigrants,” the United States has always had immigration restrictions, as the Founding Fathers intended, to preserve the American identity. Continued...

Terror is our choice

Nasrallah's speech: Hezbollah Ruled, the West was Fooled
By Walid Phares

In the next days a major battle in the War of Ideas will be unfolding worldwide and particularly through the international media. We are now witnessing a massive campaign by Hezbollah's strategic communication machine (as our Western jargon likes to describe it) to frame the outcome of the battle for Lebanon, significantly lost by the United States, the West and the forces of Democracies in the region. The main issue at hand in the Iranian funded war room is not about convincing the international community and the Arab and Muslim world that Hezbollah has defeated its opponents in that small but strategically located republic, but that an overwhelming majority of Lebanese are now firmly standing behind Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in his vision for the future of the Eastern Mediterranean and probably the Greater Middle East. Continued...

Rupert Murdoch said...

About predictions of future
Comment by Boris Tiraspolsky
Founding Member of
Predictions of future are full of all sorts of doom and gloom expectations nowadays. For instance, "News Corp Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch on Wednesday predicted a Democratic landslide in the U.S. presidential election against a gloomy economic backdrop over the next 18 months,".
There is no doubt Rupert Murdoch has a great reputation as a businessman, but how good he is in predictions of future. Here is a quote from his another prediction in 2003:

"The greatest thing to come out of this [liberation of Iraq] for the world economy, if you could put it that way, would be $20 a barrel for oil. That's bigger than any tax cut in the any country."

Murdoch backs 'courageous' Blair over Iraq

Let me remind my readers that a barrel of Brent crude costs $31.68 while US light crude costs $34.53 in 2003 at the time Rupert Murdoch made that his prediction.

Well... With another expert and his Prediction of doom and gloom gas price  the obvious conclusion is no one can predict future even News Corp Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch.
